Trippify applies a documented review process to factual claims, numbers, comparisons and research findings. This page explains how information is checked before publication and how readers can request a correction.
What is fact-checked?
Material facts that could influence a business decision receive priority: market figures, dates, regulatory statements, technical standards, company identities, product capabilities, prices, rankings, membership claims and quotations. General explanatory language is reviewed for accuracy and clarity even when it does not require a citation.
Our source hierarchy
- Primary official sources: laws, regulations, government statistics, tourism authorities, civil aviation bodies, airports and international standards organizations.
- Direct company sources: annual reports, investor disclosures, official product documentation, terms and published policies.
- Peer-reviewed and academic research: used when the methodology and publication context are relevant.
- Reputable commercial research: used with its date, methodology and status as an estimate or third-party analysis.
- Secondary reporting: used cautiously and replaced by the original source whenever it is available.
Pre-publication checking
- Confirm that each material number matches the cited source.
- Record the measurement period, publication date and geographic scope.
- Check that the source supports the exact claim, not merely the general topic.
- Separate official facts, third-party estimates, Trippify inferences and internal data.
- Review names, titles, company identities, destinations, currencies and units.
- Check links, quotations and calculations.
- Identify limitations, exclusions and unresolved uncertainty.
How we handle conflicting sources
When credible sources report different figures, we do not silently select the most convenient result. We examine definitions, periods, geography, sample design and publication dates. The published content should explain the conflict and state why one figure is used, or present a range when that is more accurate.
Internal Trippify data
Internal data must be aggregated and anonymized before editorial use. The page or report should state the collection period, included products or markets, sample size when practical, major exclusions and limitations. Internal performance data is not automatically representative of the GCC, MENA or global travel market.
Correction categories
- Minor correction: spelling, formatting, broken links or wording that does not change the meaning.
- Material correction: an incorrect fact, number, attribution, methodology statement or conclusion. The content is corrected promptly and the update should be disclosed.
- Substantial revision: new evidence or a methodology change that materially alters the work. The page should receive a new review date and an explanatory update note.
- Retraction: used when the central work cannot be corrected reliably. The URL may remain available with a clear retraction notice when transparency requires it.
How to request a correction
Email contact@trippify.ae with the page URL, the statement you believe is incorrect, the reason, and a direct supporting source. Commercial disagreement alone is not evidence, but all documented factual concerns are reviewed.
Review and response process
We verify the current page, consult the cited and newly supplied sources, and involve the relevant subject owner when needed. If a correction is justified, we update the content and its structured data, record a meaningful modified date, and reassess related language versions.
